Vehicle description

Perfect condition example of the first Porsche series produced on an industrial scale.

The car features a very rare color combination, auratium green for the exterior and beige and hazelnut leather for the interior; the exterior color was used by Porsche exclusively from 1957 to 1959, with a small re-edition in a very limited edition in 2018 on the modern 991.

The car was restored in 2022 by SC Classic workshop and is in perfect condition both from a mechanical and aesthetic point of view: the engine has been rebuilt like new, the chassis overhauled and the bodywork repainted (all restoration interventions are documented).

The car is accompanied by the Reutter certification, historic official Porsche bodywork, which reports the originality and correctness of the configuration.

The car also has ASI registration with CRS and gold plate. A piece of history on wheels for true collectors, an emotional car on the road but also if parked in a living room.

The car can be viewed exclusively by appointment in our shoowroom. Thanks to our technical assistance and restoration garage it is possible to inspect it with our professionals, who will be able to provide any technical details.

Historical notes

In 1956 the original 356, now called pre A, was replaced by the fully refined 356 A.

It was launched on the market with five different four-cylinder engines ranging from 1300 cc to 1600 cc.

Aesthetically, the A series differed from the first 356 by a curved, one-piece panoramic windscreen.

The front turn signals were always integrated into the horn grille and all models featured a modified front hood handle with a recessed Porsche logo.

From 03/1957, the rear lights featured a drop shape.

In 1958 all 1300 models went out of production. The exhaust pipes on the 1600 models ended between the bumper guards for greater ground clearance. The chrome casing with license plate illumination and reversing light was mounted under the license plate. All cars of the 356 generation were also available in a convertible version (Cabriolet, Speedster or Convertible D).

In particular, the sports versions, starting from the 356 A model, obtained the additional name “Carrera” and were powered by the so-called “Fuhrmann engine”.
