Vehicle description

Today, as then, we are faced with a true icon of style and performance, whether used on the track driven by a gentleman driver or jealously guarded in a museum, in the garage or in a collector’s living room, it is a car that knows how to make itself note.

This magnificent Alfa Romeo 1900 Coupé Super Sprint is offered here in a wonderful Summer White color combined with a completely original green interior partially made of leather.

The car was purchased by the current owner in 2015, formerly French owned and in good condition but still in need of care, it underwent a complete restoration between 2017 and 2018, during which it was brought back to the conditions in which it left the Alfa Romeo factory in 1955: the attention to every smallest detail is obsessive both from a mechanical and aesthetic point of view, it is completely repainted, the wheels and the original interior are restored, the excessively damaged carpet was rebuilt using original materials and techniques. All interventions carried out during the restoration are documented and certified.

The car underwent a technical appraisal in 2019 which revealed a perfect condition from a mechanical and originality point of view, with regards to colour, bodywork, interior and mileage.

The car is ideal for elegance competitions, exhibitions, races and historical re-enactments.

Car eligible to race the famous 1000 Miglia.

The car can be viewed exclusively by appointment in our site. Thanks to our technical assistance and restoration garage it is possible to inspect it with our professionals, who will be able to provide any technical details.

Historical notes

The Alfa 1900 born in 1950 marks a true industrial revolution for the Biscione brand, a clear detachment from the more opulent pre-war models, but without giving up the glamor designed for the wealthiest customers.

The Alfa Romeo 1900 made its debut at the 1950 Turin Motor Show, after which first models were put into production, still in an almost artisanal form, but close to mass production.

It is the first Alfa car equipped with a body integrated directly into the chassis and equipped with a 4-cylinder engine capable of delivering 115 HP in the TI Super version, capable of over 180 km/h.

The Alfa Romeo 1900 Coupé Super Sprint was assembled by Carrozzeria Touring, which paid incredible attention to the clean lines and design, over the years it received small aesthetic updates such as the positioning of the lights and small chrome friezes on the bodywork; the second series was also created using the “Superleggera” method, which involved the construction of a rigid structure on which very light aluminum panels were fixed, this guaranteed lightness and ease of modeling. The 1900 Coupè Super Sprint was advertised by Alfa Romeo with the slogan “The family car that wins races”, the car in fact had been very successful in competitions. Curiosities regarding this car it is said that among the three hundred cars that made up the collection of the Shah of Persia, the Alfa Romeo 1900 Coupè Super Sprint was Reza Palhavi’s “favorite” for its class and its demeanor.
