It is offered in exceptional condition, perfectly restored in every single detail.

The last owner drove this car for around 30 years. The restoration was undertaken in 2017 by Borghi Automobili, during which the bodywork damaged by time was sandblasted, restored and repainted in the original silver colour, the engine was completely dismantled, rectified and rebuilt in all its components (pistons, bushings, valves and relative valve seats, etc…, since then it has traveled approximately 19,000 km), all the disassembled mechanical components have been checked and replaced, the black leather interior combined with the wood has been perfectly restored to bring it back to its original conditions, everything about the restoration process is meticulously documented and can be viewed.

The car also boasts an illustrious history which is also documented: the car was purchased in Rome in 1967 and then transferred to Messina in 1973, passing into the hands of Olindo Laganà in 1988, employee of the Ministry of Education in Italy, medal for bravery and collector of historic cars, for years was a figure of reference for the Calabria region in Italy.

Historical notes

The first series of the Quattroporte is one of the rarest models of the brand, with just 776 examples built.

The car, designed by Frua-Alfieri, was presented at the Turin motor show in the autumn of 1963 and marked an epochal turning point for the trident brand.

The press praised its driving behaviour, the materials used, the elegant design, the technical solutions and the extraordinary performance, making it an object of desire for the highest social class. The exceptional 4,136 cc eight-cylinder engine, derived directly from competitions, was capable of delivering a power of around 260 HP, still noteworthy performance today, and was also appreciated for its sound and reliability.

The car offered very high standards in terms of driving comfort and habitability, clearly superior to its competitors, also thanks to the luxurious finishes and new optional. The car remained in production for six years, in which there were only minor updates, including the adoption of dual headlights in 1966.
